A Brief Introduction of The Transmission Lineage of Guru Hai Kong
In 1980, at the Manjushri Monastery of Chengdu, Guru Hai Kong got the sole transmission of ‘the Mental Dharma of Dhyana’ from the great rabbi Ding Chao.
In 1981, at the Manjushri Monastery of Chengdu, from the great rabbi Ding Hui (the Instructor of commandments and rules of the former abbot of Zhao Jue Temple, Guru Qing Ding), Guru Hai Kong got the transmission of "the Secret Mantra Approach of Meditation", namely the practicing methods of "Avalokiteshvara’s Diamond Dharma of Talismanic Wheel Yoga" and "the Essence of Being Buddha for both Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhism".
In the autumn of 1981, from Guru Ren Qing, Guru Hai Kong got the esoteric consecration and transmissions, which come down in one continuous line, of "Sadhana of Sakyamuni", "Yidam Dharma of Manjushri's Five Vajras" and "Avalokiteshvara's Heart Dharma'".
In the April of 1982, at the Guang Zong Temple of Wu Tai Mountain, from Guru Qing Hai, Guru Hai Kong got the transmissions, which come down in one continuous line, of "Vairochana's Great Ceremony of rituals", "Vajrabhairava", "Manjushri's Five Vajras", "adhana of Sakyamuni", "Yidam Dharma of Manjushri" and "Avalokiteshvara's Heart Dharma"; Guru Qing Hai himself also bestowed legacy, bell and pestle on him, thus showed him the cause and effect of his future career of widely preaching the Buddha-truth and benefiting all beings.
Afterwards, based on the above transmissions, Guru Hai Kong practiced step by step and went into a ten-year solitary retreat. Corresponding to the karma of Han areas, he digested the "Talismanic Wheel Dharma" of Tang's esoteric Buddhism, to open up the treasury of Buddha-truth with "Diamond Dharma of Talismanic Wheel" and to benefit all beings with "Avalokiteshvara's Heart Dharma". He widely propagates the "Accumulation of Sambhara on the Way to Bodhi" and "Steps of the Way to Bodhi".
Guru Hai Kong's Transmission Lineage is pure. On 15th May 2003, at the Wan Fo Temple of Deyang, he inherited lineage from Guru Hai Shan and became the primary master of dhyana of the 21st era of Tian Tong esoteric sect; afterwards he also inherited the exclusive lineage from Guru Fa Kong and became the leader of the 46th generation of Lin Ji Zhao Jue sect.
Guru Hai Kong inaugurated as the abbot of Wan Shan Temple of Henan in October of 1993, the first abbot of White Tower Temple of Zhongjiang on 26th December 2003, as well as the first abbot of Qi Le Temple of Nanchong on 3rd January 2004.
Guru Hai Kong is now holding many responsibilities including the director of China Religion Institute, researcher of the senate of Sichuan Province, vice secretary-general of Sichuan Buddhism Association, chairman of Nanchong Buddhism Association, and the Scholar of the History Graduate School of Sichuan University, member of the standing committee of CPPCC of both Zhongjiang and Nanchong, such etc.
